Frequently Asked Questions
We are thinking about selling our home when should we put it up for sale?
The spring and late August have for many years been the most popular times, but you do need to be guided by your own individual circumstances as in the end if you need to move then you have a good enough reason to go to the market.
Does the Energy Performance Certificate need to be in place before I can put my house up for sale?
As Estate Agents we prepare the details and request the EPC by booking an assessor to see your house and put it up for sale prior to receipt of the assessment. If you own a listed building there is no requirement for an EPC.
What are the best ways to promote my house?
We have a sound tried and tested marketing strategy that has been enhanced and adapted over the years to match changing trends and technology which works well for all our clients.
We include informative details about the house, great photographs, accurate floor plans, information about the area schools and resources. We advertise in the local and regional papers to raise the profile, inclusion in the major national/ international property portals, use of our own website, social media, window displays for the numerous local visitors to the area and access to highly motivated and well informed office sales team every day.
We could go on but the most important asset is to enjoy working with your agent, its a people business after all. If you have any further questions about your house sale or buying a house do not hesitate to contact us.
